Ticket Selling Rules

In principle, the Notts Buy/Sell story is a safe place to facilitate ticket exchanges, and rules are laid out in order to protect buyers.

Four key points:

Rule 1. No excessive ticket markups

Ideally you should try and avoid selling tickets for an asking price above total face value price (includes ticket face value + booking fee). However, in case of certain tickets being in high demand, you may choose to sell your tickets for a slightly marked-up value. You can mark up the price of your ticket to around 20% above face value. For ticket resales, the maximum asking price is calculated as follows:

$\text{maximum resale price} = \text{total ticket price} \times 1.2 \text{, rounded up to the next pound}$

Selling tickets with an asking price higher than the maximum resale price will result in warnings and, for repeat offenders, a possible ban from the story.

As a buyer, you may wish to offer more than the maximum resale price to the seller for certain tickets that are in high demand. This is 100% fine with me.

This rule shall not apply for the resale of other event tickets.

Rule 2. No selling of tickets on behalf of those not on the story

Due to members of the story being scammed in the past by people who aren't even on the story, I introduced this rule that bars people from listing tickets for sale and asking them to message another person on Snapchat.
