Notts Buy/Sell is a custom story on Snapchat run by me, an engineering student at UoN called Soham, who also happens to have been nominated as Nottingham’s BNOC by students and won the voting rounds! The story allows Nottingham’s students at both UoN and NTU to buy and sell tickets for club nights and various events happening in and around Nottingham! If you’re unsure about where to go, have a look at the Club Nights page.
There are over 1,100 people on the Notts Buy/Sell story – no wonder I’ve been nominated as Nottingham’s BNOC 😉
You can add me on Snapchat – my Snap is nottsbuysell. Please message me saying you would like to be added to the Notts Buy/Sell story and I’ll add you to the story!

Good question. During the third national lockdown in early 2021 I used to cycle around University Park and look for campus security and Showsec stewards enforcing Covid restrictions. At times the campus security and some Showsec stewards went over the top with the way they were enforcing rules, handing out large fines and suspensions.
By being on the lookout for security I was able to help students avoid being fined or suspended from Uni by reporting on their whereabouts on a dedicated Snapchat story. The security updates proved to be extremely popular amongst students living on campus and the security alert story amassed a large number of members. I also kept everyone informed on the fast-changing Covid rules and the roadmap out of lockdown.
Many people asked me what I would do with the security story when Covid restrictions ended. As Covid rules began to ease from around April 2021 the priorities of the story became less about updating people on security and more about facilitating peer-to-peer ticket exchanges for nights out at bars and Crisis. In July 2021 all Covid-related social restrictions were lifted, allowing nightclubs to reopen. From then it was realised that the story, with a very large member base, would serve as an excellent platform for posting about tickets to sell.
In Summer 2022, The Nottingham Tab opened nominations for BNOC of the year. As I was known to many for running Notts Buy/Sell, it really is no wonder that so many people nominated me!
